Can anyone please tell me how to rotate a floor tile to the way you want it to lay? There are carpet tiles with corner designs and if I lay them down, then they all go one way. I want to know if I can turn them and how I can rotate them to different angles. If you know I would be greatly appreciative to ya. Thanks!

I have 12x12 sticky tiles on my kitchen floor. They've been there for 26 years or so... I'd rather not take them up if possible, its the only layer there. Can I do that? Do I have to remove them? They do have a design so do I have to put down sub flooring or some sort of filler or something? If I do have to remove them how hard is it? I have no idea. I may sound like an idiot but I'm pretty handy. Thanks for helping out!
