Before I put a preview of my story on here, here's the character list;

It takes place in South Florida, between Miami and Fort Lauderdale...

Nina Rolinez: Parents are Cuban, but she's rich.

Adisson Lockhart: The unique one of the clique.

Piper Sharpe: Even though she's not the alpha, she's the most stuck up.

Charlotte Donovan: The alpha...somewhat stuck up but she's a "sweetheart" once you get to know her.

Harper Donovan: Charlotte's mom.

Emett Donovan: Charlotte's dad.

Shady Donovan: Charlotte's purebred Tortishell cat.

Zoey Musgraves: The beta. She's Charlotte's best friend that's she's known since Kindergarten.

Allison Musgraves: Zoey's mom.

Gregory Musgraves: Zoey's [dead] dad.

Ross Boone: The driver for the Donovans.

Karina Vang: The Donovan's housekeeper/nanny.

Piper, Nina, and Adisson's parents & pets I didn't include b/c they don't have big role.

This is part of the first chapter:

Charlotte stepped onto the cold tile in her bathroom. She sat down on the bench and put her makeup on. It was 6:30 AM and her mom’s driver, Ross Boone, was still asleep. Her cell phone rang. She hoped it was the rest of her clique.

“Hello?”

“Hey, Charlotte.”

“Hey, Zoey. Have you talked to Adisson, Nina, and Piper yet?”

“No. Not this morning. Piper is still in Long Beach…did you hear she brought Aaron with her?”

“No…why did she do that?”

“Charlotte. They’ve been dating since…June.”

“It’s August Zo! Anyway…just meet meet me near Southeast 26th Avenue.”

“Got it. Adisson and Nina are riding together…as usual.”

“Okay see ya!”

They hung up, and Charlotte threw on a white and brown shorts. Since she lived in Fort Lauderdale, she was used to the hot weather.
Her mom, Harper Donovan called from downstairs.

“Charlotte….hurry. Ross is outside waiting for you. Make sure you got the lunch from Karina’s room. Is tuna salad fine—“

“MOM. You know the middle class takes tuna salad. No it’s not actually! Tell Karina to pack me a beef burgundy with crème brulee. “

“Okay, I’m on it.”

While she was waiting for Karina to fix her food, she sat on the couch with her cat, Shady.

'“Shady…you are so right. I should go to school with a good attitude—“

"Charlotte, I fixed your food."

“Yes…Karina.” She said as she opened the box.

“WHAT?!?!?!?! I TOLD Mom that I wanted beef burgundy! This is a steak sandwich. What am I? A redneck from Jacksonville?”

“I’m very sorry. It’s almost 7:00, you need to leave for school. I’ll get Ross to run it up to your school for you.”

'“Oh…that’s NOT what’s going to happen. I will get Ross to stop by Carmichaels and get me a SobE energy drink.”

Can someone tell me:

Designers that they wear (they're 14)

Things that go on in highschool (which kinds of dances, fights, events, ect)

Any ideas for the plot.

& anything else you want!

Colour Schemes for My New Flat?

I'm in the process of buying a newly rennovated flat. Currently the walls are white as the developer is waiting for my decision on the colour scheme for the 2 main rooms. The only completed area is the bathroom - white suite, luxury shower cabinet with beige and brown tiles throughout.

Throughout the flat the floors, skirting, door frames and doors are all a deep mahogony/cocoa colour (I had no choice in this but it looks good), the ceilings are high and the windows are also new (white, plastic). I have views from all the windows across fields to gentle hills and forestry, it's a quiet, rural area at the end of a village.

The main living room is around 25m squared with 2 large east-facing windows that let in a lot of light, the sun is that side of the apartment in the morning only so it needs to be a fairly light colour as it won't get direct sunlight most of the day, and my existing furniture (which I don't really need to change) is neutral colours - wheat background with gold and darker brown patterns. Part of this room will be the kitchen as there is an alcove set aside so the whole space feels more open - it's a big airy place :)

The second room, which will be the bedroom, is around 20m squared with huge west-facing balcony doors that let in a lot of light from mid afternoon to sunset, I intend to set aside a reading corner near the doors to maximise the light and make the most of the view. When I visited last week this room had a greyness that I'd like to warm up by changing the white walls. The colour of the existing furnture is irrelevant as I intend to keep this room as empty as possible with just the bed and minimal storage as I don't have a huge amount of clothes. I'm looking for a calm, restful colour.

I don't need links to colour swatches, I'd just like some good advice about matching the walls in those 2 rooms to suit the existing furniture, light and function of the spaces. I'm open to holistic and theraputic approaches - feng shui or other styles.

Any budding interior designers out there, please help :)
@ chebrew - thanks for that advice, for sure I'm an earth tones person. The developer has painted all the other apartments bright citrus yellow, and altho I like yellow this is too harsh for me, so I want to suggest sthg warmer and calming. I was thinking of some soft shade of golden-beige might do the trick in the living room, it's neutral and soothing :)
@ Jenya - thanks! These links are great, I can see really quickly and easily what is going to work in this apartment now, and the suggestions suit my tendency for warmer earthy colours in the living area, and I had been thinking about grey for the bedroom, now I know I can trust my instincts :)
